The 1980s marked a significant period of growth and expansion for Hendrick Automotive Group, and during that time, our company became part of a major moment in American automotive history – the launch of Acura.

Acura debuted in 1986 with just 60 dealerships nationwide, and Hendrick Acura in Charlotte, North Carolina, was among the original locations to represent the new luxury brand. Over 40 years later, Acura remains an integral part of our company’s history, growth, and continued success.
